Lynchburg, Va. – The Southern Virginia men's tennis program opened its fall season on the road Friday afternoon, falling to Randolph College 0–7.

The Wildcats swept doubles play to take the opening point, with the Knights' closest match coming at No. 3 doubles as Mateo Molanphy and Jacob Feldman battled before dropping a 4–6 decision.

In singles action, Randolph secured straight-set victories on five courts. At No. 6 singles, Molanphy pushed his opponent to a third-set tiebreaker after taking the first set 7–5, but ultimately fell 7–5, 4–6, 0–1 (7–10).

Southern Virginia now heads into an extended break before returning to action on the road at UVA Wise in Wise, Virginia, on Friday, October 3rd.
