Buena Vista, VA — The Rugby East Conference has announced its 2025 All-Conference selections, recognizing standout performers from across the league, with three Southern Virginia University athletes earning honors.
Freshman Saveaalii Fitisemanu capped off a remarkable debut season by being named to the All-Conference Second Team. Fitisemanu emerged as one of the most dynamic two-way players in the conference, using his power to break tackles, his speed to finish in open space, and his physicality to anchor the Knights defensively. His immediate impact made him one of the most important contributors on the roster.
Senior Pone Aisea and junior Kahanu Koi were each selected to the Honorable Mention Team. Aisea, from Portland, Oregon, concludes a strong four-year career with the Knights, known for his relentless charging runs and leadership on the pitch since joining the program in 2022.
Koi made his presence felt in his first year with Southern Virginia, showcasing elite speed, decisive playmaking, and reliable conversions. His ability to attack quickly and capitalize on scoring opportunities consistently energized the Knights' offense.
Southern Virginia now turns its attention to the spring season as the Knights aim to build on their momentum and continue their climb within the Rugby East Conference.
