Ospreys Offense Too Much For Knights

Galloway, N.J.—The Southern Virginia University men's lacrosse team dropped a nonconference matchup to the Ospreys of Stockton University 18-10 on Saturday evening.

The Knights (3-2) were held scoreless in the opening quarter of play as Stockton (3-0) took a 2-0 lead. In the second, the Ospreys outscored the Knights 5-3, extending their lead to four, 7-3 heading into the break.

The Ospreys came out in the second half on fire, scoring nine of the first ten goals of the half, extending their lead to 12, 16-4. The Knights were able to close out the game scoring 6 of the last eight goals, but their effort was in vain as they fell 18-10.

Zach Danneman had a team-high three goals for Southern Virginia while Chandler Wescott, Payton Kimber, and Tennison Schmidt each scored two goals apiece.

The Knights will return to action on the 6th of March as they'll take on the Merchant Marine Academy at Virginia Beach with game-time TBA.
