BUENA VISTA, Va. — The Southern Virginia University softball team fell 8-4 and 9-1 against Wilson College in a double header Saturday afternoon.

The Knights (1-11) found themselves on top 4-3 after the first five innings. But, those would be the only runs scored for the Knights as Wilson (2-6) scored five in the final two innings to take the win. Tara Hilton and Megan Stapley each hit a homerun for the Knights. Mykayla Johnson hit a double in the bottom of the fourth. As the pitcher, Stapley recorded six strikeouts.

In game two, the Knights earned their lone run in the first inning when Johnson bunted to bring Megan Harmon home. Wilson scored six runs in the third inning to secure the five-inning win. Harmon pitched all five innings and recorded four strikeouts and two walks.
